Norman Chichester, Poet (Reworked)

I revised this multimedia “portrait” of Norman Chichester, the poet that I introduced several posts ago. I think I’ve improved the storyline by restructuring some elements and introducing an opening question: how did this man overcome his physical impediment to write poetry?

I’m also testing out embedding video from YouTube instead of Vimeo.

  1. John,

Wonderful story and images. The fading, overlay and pacing of the dialogue and images works well. Norman’s poem sounded very mystical. Would it be possible for you to post a link to the full text or audio?

The embedded show played smoothly over a 56kb wireless connection using Firefox on an old P3 Dell Inspiron.

Best regards and keep up the great work!

    Bill

  2. Thank for posting this! I’m so proud of my Daddy! His grandson, Nate also enjoyed seeing this story tremendously! I’ve always known my daddy was HUGELY talented! Now the World Wide Web does too!

Thank you so very much for this! It’s a blessing to hear Norman’s voice again. It is serendipitous that this video should come to my attention on the 54th anniversary of my marriage to Norman. I fully desired to grow old with this wonderful man, but that privilege was granted to others. Once in awhile I get a little tidbit of his majesty – thanks again for this one.

  4. Norman J. Chichester :
